Susan von Hemert is a seasoned professional possessing key skills in organization, conversion of clinical and marketing data to business applications, sales, leadership, presenting, and securing strong relationships at all levels.

Before starting The von Hemert Group, Susan was the Director of Global Training and Development at Salient Surgical Technologies and prior to that, she was Director of Global Training at Datascope Corporation where she was a sales representative and regional manager.  Along with managing worldwide surgical oncology market and training programs, Susan created clinical and business applications programs and initiated an online learning management system with pre-training and continuing education for sales and corporate applications.  She has also created live forums and training programs for surgeons.

Her extensive experience in new business development and global sales management has been contracted worldwide in countries such as South Africa, Hong Kong and Japan.  Susan’s collaborative work with Sapporo University Medical Center is published in the Liver International Journal, 2006 Mar; 26(2):203-10.

A graduate of Memphis State University, Susan maintains an active RN license, and she also holds a B.S.N. from Southern New Hampshire University; she will complete her MSN in 2019.  She has numerous certifications including the AMA’s Operational Manager to Strategic Planner and the ASTD’s Creating Leadership and Program Development and Designing Learning programs.

Susan’s personal interests include golf, skiing, riding, and competing in triathlons. She can speak intermediate German and French and has traveled extensively throughout the world, particularly focusing on the Middle East, Asia/Pacific regions and Europe. Susan has been a mentor for the Interfaith Neighbors reading program for developmentally challenged individuals and is on the development committee at Education for All Children, a Kenyan educational initiative.
